M.G.M.M.G.M., TELL US HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS “ULTRA-MODERN” IDEA TO ‘GIVE LIFE’ TO ART AND TO ARTISTS?

It happened in December 2007… I was in my office and I was thinking that there was a real need for something that could return Beauty to what we do, and by ‘we’ I mean all Human Beings…
I’ve had many experiences in my life, in so many different directions, so it is not hard for me to think of something in the graphics field or the advertising fields or whatever… I thought about things I would have liked to see… something to change trivial consumerism trends, this hyper-production which leaves us no time to “use up something” before buying another, where things sold have only one aim: to become rich.

An interview with Kristhand

Kristhand - ArtistWhen was Kristhand born?

Kristhand was born two years ago, when I decided to try again with colours. Try again, I say, because I had a secret dream which I had interrupted after taking my art A-Level and I believe you should never give up your dreams.

What is Art for you?

ART, FOR ME, IS THE CREATIVE EXPRESSION OF THE INDIVIDUAL – I have met creative people in many sectors and I call them artists because of their passion in doing something for the benefit of themselves and of others.

Where do you take inspiration from?

The richness I bring to my paintings arrives with a sudden, spontaneous flash, often after a really good sleep.

Why have you chosen abstract painting?

Because It’s the freest way to express myself. Abstract painting represents me because I don’t like being conditioned and I live my passion for painting …
